Forthcoming: ICTMT 13

The 13th International Conference on Technology in Mathematics Teaching – ICTMT 13 will be organized by the University of Lyon (Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon and Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1). It will be held in Lyon, France, on July 3-6, 2017.

International Peer-Reviewed Research Journals (11-07-2015)
- Teaching Mathematics and its Applications – Special Issue
  The editors of the special issue (Nélia Amado: namado@ualg.pt; Keith Jones: d.k.jones@soton.ac.uk; António Domingos: amdd@fct.unl.pt) invite authors of papers presented at ICTMT 12 to submit a new version of their reported work, taking into account the scope and the requirements of the journal. Papers need to have an educational research aspect and be within the scope of the journal. More information on the journal, which focuses on the improvement of mathematics teaching and learning for students from upper secondary/high school level through to university first degree level, can be found at: http://teamat.oxfordjournals.org/.
  The special issue editors should be informed by email of the authors’ intention to submit.

  Deadline for submission to SPECIAL ISSUE OF TEACHING MATHEMATICS AND ITS APPLICATIONS is1st September 2015
- Digital Experiences in Mathematics Education
  Colleagues are also encouraged to consider submitting extended and/or refined versions of their ICTMT 12 papers to the new journal, Digital Experiences in Mathematics Education. This journal aims to publish research on innovative approaches to a more learnable and teachable mathematics—at any grade level and on any topic, both within and outside of the school context. A description of the journal can be found at the Springer website (http://link.springer.com/journal/40751). The Editorial for the first issue also provides a good description of the kinds of articles that DEME aims to publish.

Workshops and Excursion application (15-06-2015)
The restricted number of participants in Workshops and also in the Excursion (see the options A and B in Social Programme) require a previous application for the available options.

The scientific programme consists of 4 plenary sessions, 6 paper sessions, 4 workshop sessions and 1 poster session.

Presenters of papers, workshops and posters are requested to see the instructions regarding length of presentation, materials and language. A poster layout is available for download. The poster size is A0.

Workshops
The workshops to be proposed to the conference may have a duration of 1.5 hours or 3 hours. Please specify the desired length of your workshop and the necessary material in your submission.
Deadline for submission
In order to meet several requests, the deadline for submission of papers, posters and workshops is extended to February 15th 2015. Note that after this date, it will be impossible any other time extension. We look forward to your contributions!
Announcing the Portuguese-English Exchange Strand!
The ICTMT 12 is pleased to announce a new Portuguese-English Exchange Strand. This means that submissions are accepted in Portuguese; the accepted proposals will also be presented in Portuguese. This special strand will take place on a designated period of the conference to be announced in due time. The accepted submissions in Portuguese will be included in the Proceedings.
Anunciamos a Secção de Intercâmbio Português-Inglês!
O ICTMT 12 tem o prazer de anunciar uma nova Secção de Intercâmbio Português-Inglês. Deste modo, podem ser submetidas propostas em língua Portuguesa; as propostas aceites serão igualmente apresentadas em Português. Esta Secção especial decorrerá num período específico da conferência a ser anunciado oportunamente. As contribuições aceites em Português serão incluídas nas Atas.

Viagens Abreu is the official convener of ICTMT12. When using the online system for registration and payment you can also book your accommodation from a selection of hotels in Faro offering special prices for the ICTMT 12 participants.
We recommend you early booking of accommodation. Remember that the conference dates are in the tourism high season.
Student special fee
Students who wish to register and pay the reduced fee are required to send a proof (university declaration)
